Story: The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (“WRAP”) is a peer-group intervention. I found this structured approach to be helpful in developing a recovery plan, which includes identifying early warning signs, managing triggers, developing coping skills and responding to crises. I took a WRAP course and became a WRAP Facilitator. It is an evidence-based practice. I also developed my own Collaborative Care Plan based on my experiences, which helps guide interactions between the clinician, family and a loved one with mental illness, which you can find on our ForLikeMinds.
